New Popcorn Processing Plant

We have the pleasure to inform that on July 5th, 2008, Geoallianz started operations in the new processing plant at Mariano Benitez's town, Province of Buenos Aires, were part of our staff attended to a celebration lunch.

The Plant has a total surface of 1200 m2, with 3 bins plus another 6 that are coming. In the inside, has a cleaning, sizing and bagging line, capable of delivering 4 containers per day of an excellent product.

Regarding the man force, the operation will require 20 people directly and 50 indirectly, so it will become an important employment place for the local community which just accounts for 400 inhabitants.

The expectation is to increase our processing capabilities while, at the same time, we develop better quality levels.

In case of any question, please write to jorge.huck@geoallianz.com

GEOALLIANZ in a social context

Having most of the 2008 crop already harvested, we are beginning the marketing and shipping campaign. In this time of the year, we also step back a bit to analyze and think about the actual situation and future plans, as well as to sense how we are doing in employment matters within argentina.

When we made calculations about the quantity of people we give work to, direct and indirectly, the conclusion was 346 persons... and growing!

Each of them represent a valuable resource that cooperates with its work and effort to the growth of this challenging but social sensitive project. They do of GEOALLIANZ something possible.

As Walt Disney used to say: ¨If you can dream it, you can do it¨…

… we have dreamed, and now we are doing it.

Thanks to you all!

2008 harvest of specialty crops

The 2008 harvest began, and the results are well bellow de average. For all Argentina specialty crop productions, yields will be shorter than what was forecasted. In the case of Confection sunflower, the reduction is of 46% and when talking about Popcorn, it is of 35%. Similar shortages occurred with millet, corn, soybean and stripped sunflower.

The main reason was dryness during the flowering stage of plants, now resulting in smaller quantities, thus, higher prices for the international market.

As a client oriented company, we are trying to do all possible efforts to keep supplying product to every buyer… maybe in fewer quantities, but product at least.

Fortunately the quality is quite good.

Please don´t hesitate to contact us if you require further information.
